    well I guess the banks have no choice now but to respond with even more interest rate hikes given that funding costs would likely go up due to the downgrade at the big 4

    Failures in every sense, except for fees charged for ratings

    So, as well as the entire population, including governments, even ratings agencies now don't like banks?

    Is that karma?

    The only way they can redeem themselves is to start paying more on deposit accounts.
