A 80% loss in one asset can be smaller then 5% gain in other.

    Won’t happen.

Who in their right mind would join a bank board or senior management with those punitive measures hanging above their heads. Many other companies out there to work for.

If you think bank senior management get paid a lot now, watch their pay packages if such measures are actually introduced!!!

SO u r saying the only way banks can get good leaders or employees if they are no ethical? If they don't break rules then they don't have anything to fear...or am I missing something?

The perceived threat of prosecution, presumption of guilt, threat of getting hit even if one of your minions went and did naughty things - not to be taken on lightly.

"Bankers found guilty of serious corporate crimes could be jailed for up to 15 years and shonky corporations may face fines of up to $525 million, under legislation proposed by Labor."
I am sure in case of serious corporate crimes, we all want serious charges to be laid...some of the ridiculous actions went unpunished so far...
Now I am not sure about your minions comment...but I am sure no one will go to jail for naughty things

Sounds like good news for MB's.

Does anyone know if Labor intends to keep on the same path as Frydenturd if and when they are elected?
