Anyone in Bangkok want to meet up on the evening of 25th Nov.

Thinking to meet in the Phrom Phong shopping area.

Can't meet in BKK but would love to hear your story/specifics about living in BKK eg cost of living, how many months you stay there, do you lease your apt out when you're back in Oz etc etc

@Terry_w if only you announced you were conducting a seminar that evening on, I don't know, something like investment strategies or loans or structuring, then some of us could potentially travel from somewhere in AU to BKK......maybe you could drip feed the seminar over say 7-10 nights? Would the bean-counters think this might actually be tax deductible for attendees? ;)

Thought about this. Trouble is that travel related to property isn't deductible anymore. Would need to do something related to taxation of share investing

Maybe we could meet in the BKK stock exchange? .....and then travel to HKT to see what the good people there think of the idea?
You're a bad influence on me....

Bangkok is pretty expensive now. Basic studio would cost about $1000aud per month to rent. Locals could get something very basic from $100 aid per month though. Taxi from airport to city costs about $10 to 15.

Western food roughly $10 each but Thai style from $2.

    But up country much cheaper.

Now I am in khon kaen. Hired a care for $40 per day. Good hotel $35 per day

I'm in Makati with 2 fellow investors from HK if you can get over here. We'll be here for another 5 days doing handover of some newly built condos.
