Possibly not handled well by the NSW government with regards to looking after those in the industry but I strongly support it.

Poodle Soccer could fill the gap once the long legged sprinters are phased out.

Of course only stuffed poodles will be used.

What they should be banning are Zoos where animals live their years out in a small enclosure.

Animals should be able to run free.

Totally agree. Tax the industry more. Use that money to control the industry with strict and enforced policies. E.g. trainer harming dogs gets life ban. Use money to audit like the drug testers do in professional sports.

I very rarely watch the greyhounds and never gamble on it, but many do and enjoy it. I understand that gambling is a terrible thing but you ban greyhounds for that reason then alcohol goes with it.

Lazy decision like the curfew laws that closed Kings Cross and other Sydney nightlife.

I am, so I can look down at you from my moral high horse. You look like a tiny little ant from all the way up here!

Whether vegetarian or not, everyone is somewhat of a hypocrite in cases like that. You might be because you might be against the Chinese dog meat festival, yet happily consume pork. I on the other hand, don't eat any meat, yet eat dairy and eggs, which is also a cause of suffering in animals.
And even a vegan has animals harmed and killed in the production of their food, so it's impossible to cause zero harm to animals.

Great decision by Baird though, well done. Hopefully the rest of Australia will follow suit.

Until they are shot and stuffed.

I think zoos (in some countries) and their conservation programs are better than the wild.

What I've seen of animal cruelty, it's a better fate to be killed in an animal grinder than to endure what many animals face on a daily basis

Neither is a great option. Animal rights does not equal animal welfare.
