WHy sell the PPOR? I went through a divorce many years ago, and fought hard to keep the PPOR. Was a great decision in the end. I would only sell if I absolutely had to.

No plans yet legallyblonde as have to weigh up what to do with the 3 properties we have atm. Selling PPOR is first.

Come along to some meet ups as well. Don't rule out a partner, wouldn't be the first PC romance :)

If the Brisbane house is the ppor, I reckon try to hold it for another 12 months and continue to assess the market conditions as I think its still a rising market. If you sell now you could be giving up 100k or more by selling too early in a rising market. (Ps. I dont know what part of Brissy you might be, just speculating on growth).
Note, I am assuming the other properties arent bleeding you completely to death though. And this assumption is wrong and you really need to sell, do it. But if you have other avenues, pursue them first.

Due to X's great paying job we have kept our heads above water. We do need to sell as a new start is necessary to move on. Plus like I said before I'm sick of cleaning this place The Dysart property is vacant and we have a $390k mortgage on that so that hurts! Selling it isn't an option atm because we would be lucky to get $100k for it, X wants to sell them all which would mean splitting the debt, yikes I think that would be crazy! The unit in Bris is going along smoothly but once again X wants that sold too:eek:

I think its actually a good idea to sell the primary residence if it helps you financially moving forward, mental health is far more important than money and with your positive attitude you are bound to recover from this.
