    Hi folks.

we have inherited a property in Sydney’s east. The land is about 480sqm. It is only 12m wide but it’s long and has 2 street frontage.

We are wondering if anyone has built at back to back duplex Or can advise about this situation?

    thanks
    Pete.

Build side by side If the planning scheme allows & use the rear lane for access to the garage.

Garbos don't always service the laneway.

So it's a 12m x 40m block of land with street frontage at either end?

Sounds interesting. You could potentially do 3 townhouses depending on the zoning. But if not, then you might be able to subdivide and make two houses.

    This.

6m per house is plenty of frontage is garage is at the rear, and plenty of room for 2x double garages (common wall).

Depending on the market can get creative with upstairs studio/granny flat/rumpus room on top of garage. Plenty of options.

All very interesting Scott and you have opened up possibilities I had not considered. Zoning is 2a and Randwick council is mostly ok to dual occupancy. Thanks for your response.
