Award winning single level design homes

Kinda...stuck & google not doing it's job.............in need of award winning single level home designs / floor plan ideas????

 

For what purpose? How many bedrooms, what size lot etc...

 

Purpose - PPOR
Bedrooms - 5
Lot size - 750sqm 18m Frontage...

Very Modern design....

This one is a serious contender for the HIA awards this weekend in SA.
Its a 4 bedroom but adaptable. Very popular family design because you can zone the kids off down the back of the house.
The frontage is a bit wider than 18m but that is because the room sizes are quite large and the entry is 2.5m.

 

You really need to start providing more info if youre hoping for answers that will help you.

Eg, budget for build including design fees and rough end value? Have rough home size? On that lot you could have a 250dqm home or a 400sqm home. It could be a $1.4m build or a $500k build.

 

Eg, I appointed this architect for a project 8 was helping someone with, he has designed an incredible predominantly single storey home with a small section of double storey at rear. I don't want to put up plans etc without permission but have a look at these 2 pics of a single storey from memory it would cost at least 1.4m to build it whereas there are 5 bed homes being built for under half that. Hence the need for context.

This is one of my favourite single storey designs, excellent use of the blocks shape and orientation. Would not get much change from 1.8m-2.2m turnkey though

Budget $600,000-$700,000 appears all are million plus builds.

 

I really like some of the ideas these guys incorporate into their designs, they won a 800K-$1000K custom design award last year. Alot of what they do is sloping blocks & they've been around a while so some of the facades in particular are dated, though they have some modern ones too.

Really like the facade shots. Ive seen this house in Beaumont, Adelaide. Very innovative style. Your house looks amazing as well.

Mike E, thats right for the photos that Sanj and I have posted, you would be looking north of $2,500/sqm.

Without going into the specifics of the brief, usually a 5 bed single storey house would be around 400+sqm. Im assuming double garage, butlers pantry etc.

So I would say with your budget you can't go this architectural. You might be able to adapt some ideas and feature though. What kind of specifications are you thinking? Knowing this would be easier to get an idea of your expectations.
