If that was the case, I would have thought that the sale price would have been $2M to $3M :) :)

Its part of the LGA, not part of the suburb. I believe this article refers to suburbs..

Real reason Wilmot is not on it would more likely be due to the lower overall population there, even if 5% of people living in Wilot are dole bludgers, they won't break the top 10 in absolute numbers if onyl about 2000 people live there..

The article was clearly written in a certain misleading manner to push particular stereotypes (in order to get more clicks, etc). I'm from Blacktown proper, and its not even half as bad as is implied.

The article should also include people on some sort of pension (excluding old age pension). There are plenty of people (and families of more than 1 generation) bludging on a pension who could work if they had to...

Haha, I was being cheeky, but I mean from Blacktown the suburb, and not just the LGA.

I live and work less than 5 minutes from main st ;)

If they went through parts of Bankstown, it would have blown up the scale, although scamming other govt agencies may be considered employed these days ?

Also plenty of country centers where heaps of people are on benefits, I do not thing it was done properly either :)

Heaps in Banky town would be on other types of benefits, they need security staff there even though the police station is also there, they get in fights etc, all too hard so they give them a waiver it seems.

I found WA's list - Armadale was highest at rank 22 in Australia.
Wasn't any SA ones in the top 30 in Australia. We're all good workers right? :)

Well if your referring specifically to those people who decide to smoke drugs daily and avoid finding work so they can live off center link ie the tax payers money, what makes me better than those people???

It is an interesting question if you think about it, we all rely on others to do well.

But possibly doing trade with willing partners for what should be mutual benefits vs providing for a group who are abusing the system, but then again some may argue it exists to lower crime (those that abuse so they can further crime activity are probably rightfully despised).

I'd much rather have peaceful handholding stoners be all around Australia and replacing the all too high number of people with alcohol or meth issues.

The police, hospitals and governments that have to pay for said cops and docs would also readily agree

Pretty archaic to assume or equate a complete lack of productivity with it too imo

No disagreement from me regarding your dislike of bludgers though

My apologies, the dope smokers, street loafers, dole bludging individuals are better than me. How could I have gotten it so wrong.

No use to squabble. Peace out brother.

I have changed my mind over these things over many years, would rather have a social support system for those who are down and out, unlucky, have some sort of issues or mental problems so they are not forced to live on the street and or perform petty crime.

I still have a strong dislike for the many, many people, of whom I still meet and see, who take benefits, but work for cash only, or who are spending all day doing anti social things, running drug dealing business, or scamming the system for other payments.

There are so many people doing the latter.

I also think people should not be paid to have children, that should disappear IMO, it encourages some people to just pop kids out and they are not given good guidance many times.
