Already tick off one of the bingo symbols ... rabbiting on about the delivery of 1mil RATs ... or which 500,000 were allocated to NSW and the rest went elsewhere (did I hear the other States just scream?)

Considering, for NSW primary kids alone, to go back to school next week they require 1.5mil kids x 2 tests a week = 3mil tests/week for these dudes alone.

Throw in the free tests for pensioners starting next week from pharmacies (good luck finding any) - and industry requirements (hubby's old work, they have to test every day as part of their log in procedure - alongside the "blow in the tube" zero alcohol test)

It looks like another chance for the ALP to lose the unlose-able election.

A lot can change between now and May - can Albo stuff it up?

Yes,they can and will stuff it up .

Most people I talk too are aware of the differences between relative and absolute risk..

One only has to do a quick search on how many former ministers and their chain linked families are now serving custodial sentences for playing hiding the sausage and paper bags filled with 100 dollar bills.

Or Morrison will continue stuffing up, and Albo just does nothing.

He thinks nothing, he says nothing, he does nothing, he is nothing, …

I wish the ALP would put the political knife into him and replace him with someone with a personality, with charisma, with leadership skills, …

That would make voting easier for me ;)

Why would they? The polls are showing they are headed for a crushing victory.

Is this irony or some echo-chamber effect? It's hard to tell these days... I am not going to pretend to know who will win this election (the electorate is a fickle bunch, easily swayed by misinformation), but I am certainly not seeing any praise for Scomo.

Curious to see how much the Clive Palmer $$$ is going to impact the voting, and whether he can swing a LNP victory again, or if he is just gunning for senate seats.

I think as the election comes near and campaigning starts, sco mo will dominate Albo. Whether that's enough to win I don't know . But Albo is definitely no match for sco mo. Sco mo will 'out politics' Albo with both eyes shut and one hand behind his back.

So the future direction of the country comes down, not to policies, but people's perceptions of the personalities of two people.

    Quite possibly.

I think it should be both. Good policies and a strong leader.

That's on the off chance that Scomo isn't in Hawaii instead!

I think people are really starting to see though his BS.
While Albo has the charisma of a blobfish, he's a genuine guy, which definitely counts for something.

I think Albo is a thorough gentleman, much more likeable than Scomo, but look at his performance since becoming leader of Labor, absolutely bereft of personality and NEW ideas. Scomo is exactly the opposite and I hate to say it but a leader needs to be a bit of a b--st--d to be a good leader.

IMHO history will look more kindly at how Scomo etc has handled Covid, watching the news bulletins from the USA etc they are having exactly the same problems and are just like us, trying to cope, making mistakes and just coping their way through ...them's my thoughts anyway :)

Well I was reluctant to comment on this thread but as possibly one of the very few on this forum who thought Scotty from Marketing would win last time I'll put it out there and say I think he will absolutely dominate Albanese once the election campaign starts. AA is as thick as they come, and not even the media will be able to disguise this.
Not that I rate SM mind....I mark him 5 out of 10 at best, but my goodness look what he's up against - I can't see anyone in the ALP team understanding the first thing about running an economy. It will be a very even contest come election day.

    This unsubstantiated claim again.
There is zero evidence that conservatives are better at managing the economy.
Wasn't Swanie named "World's best treasurer" or something, following the GFC, that left Australia much better off than the vast majority of the global economies.

Zero evidence ... but the LNP are very good at spinning that they are, and unknowledgeable voters believe the spin

Notice all the government "net zero" ads spouting on tv, bs'ing about what they're doing/will do ... none of what they are claiming is either the government's doing, or current government decisions and implementations ... even snowy was bought about by Turnbull who then got shafted
