Wow - Aus$ smashed in trade today. Falling from +0.73c to .7183c during the day.

Chinas manufacturing data was down again, which caused the drop.
Quite a bit of data out this week, which may impact on the AUD$.

It had been trading well over the last few weeks in a very consolidated range. I wonder if this will see it break this?

I should have put money on the travel card in advance!

We've basically become a Chinese surrogate now, bad news there is bad news here!

It dropped below .70 this morning. Has recovered some, but the down trend is continuing.

Thanks for posting this, amazing. Can not even image the Au$ at 55, scary stuff. Wont be travelling overseas.

Experts still calling Au$ will hit 65, as Blacky said trending down now.

Seeing what I am seeing right now I dont feel that .65 will be the bottom of the cycle.

    Only time will tell.

I remember going OS in 2003, it was about x2 for Euro and x3 for the pound.
Not fun paying for beers in England - but glad to get out of there anyway ;)

No fun at all, perhaps with Au$ falling tourism will be up here in Australia, hope so. Our economy needs a boost, especially WA.

Well there has been a 254% increase in visitors from China over the last 10 years. Seems like everyone in Sydney is a Chinese tourist.

No London is still more expensive even at 3:1 and it's the only place worthy of it excitement wise.

No Chinese down my way...they all turn left off the Peninsula Link and head towards Philip Island (penguins, koalas and Kangaroos).

    Love it.

Get a few from time to time; taking selfies and pics of the air.

They're not just visiting either. Australia will eventually be majority Asian by the end of the 21st century.

I found London really boring and couldn't wait to get out of there.
Got there Friday, saw everything I wanted to on the weekend, booked a flight out of there Sunday, 9 day festival in Spain from the Monday.
