ETF Watch - Find an ETF or LIC Fund in Australia

Not many on the list. HVST could be an option by the management fees are quite high at 0.65%

HVST-BetaShares Australian Dividend Harvester Fund (Managed Fund) – ETF Watch

EDIT: here is the same list but with LICs included

This is how vanguard's Australian high yield ETF performs with $10k invested 5 years ago. Thanks @austing ;)

and a breakdown of income, effectively $1k gross PA from a $10k holding:

I like VHY too, but no one else does. How does that compare to HVST?

Inception was only in October 2014 so I ran this what-if for 2 years from 23 Feb 2015.

Better dividend performance. Erosion of capital though ( which will presumably recover ). Perhaps one of the potential issues with dividend-focused ETFs.

2 years is only a short time.

High fees for HVST though. I didn't realise. VHY is 0.25% and HVST is 0.65%. Adds up.

Ironically, HVST's Holding #1 is Vanguard Australian Shares ETF – 48.07%. Hilarious! :)

There is an excel spreadsheet here that does the trick.

Get Stock Quotes in Excel - Excel Clout

Edit - unfortunately it doesn't pull in dividend data for HVST.AX and VHY.AX

Djerriwarrh Investments might meet that criteria. Likely at a huge premium. Remember you might be sacrificing div growth

Thanks. Another for the list. Although maybe a balance is needed between growth and yield.

    We'll soon see :D

The newly-formed Switzer Dividend Growth Fund has raised more than $60 million directly from investors in two weeks, according to sources.

The offer period for the listed fund opened on January 30 and closed on February 17.

    He he, only joking.

Oh I expect it to be well subscribed given the high profile Switzer is involved.

But I see it more of an addition to Contango's suite of products. Current they have LICs CTN (microcaps) and CIE (Mid - small caps).

SWTZ will essentially be a "large cap" active ETF managed mostly by Contango.

But I'm not so keen on it because it's large cap focused. If you already own the likes of low cost products such as VAS, ARG, MLT etc then do you really need another "large cap" fund (with a noticeably higher fee).

If I'm going to pay a higher fee for a dividend focused fund I'd rather invest in a mid / small cap fund that gives me some diversification away from the Top 20 and where the odds of an active mgr adding value is greater.

But just my thoughts. SWTZ might turn out to be a great fund.

But @Redwing what is it they say about the one thing you can control especially in a very well researched area of the market:)?
