Wow. What a wedding. Impressive. But seems like a bit of corruption going on at least as per the articles..A whole street was blocked for this wedding entourage, with false flyers put in mail boxes to get people to remove their cars off the street else they would have been allegedly towed away. He was fined $220.

Further an article notes that NSW legislation allows for Councillors to vote on LEP even if they have a financial interest in a property. This means they can increase the building heights etc for where properties are owned.

I guess corruption is rife. I used to think there would be no corruption in Australia (naive I know). As a side note, a Brisbane agent we met said that he could do stuff in the background at a cost to get approvals for development of dual living even if your block didn't meet the requirements.

I wish this tool and all the buzz about this would go away.

I think I prefer the endless brain-numbing daily guff about the Royals.

Another fine example of why too much money is dangerous to some people. His wealth has gone to his end.

I'm guessing his divorce will be even more spectacular. Perhaps close the entire state down?

Is this a known issue about QLD agents?

My experience is Sydney agents are more ethical. But could be because we are on the ground in Sydney

Problem is it just tars all agents into the same mould, there are good long term agents out there ,plus the way the BCC works if they said they know someone within the system and you pay someone under the table thinking everyone down the chain can benefit, and the crooks think that they can con honest people can be smarter the they,if someone said that to me as I have done before I would put them on the bbq plate from every angle..

Councillors are permitted to vote because this current state government decided that a property developer is no different to any other councillor who is a resident or business owner in that council.
