    Should I buy now or wait for a few more days as it might drop further?

    Cheers,
    Anne

    I am going to wait few more days to see if it drops further and if it does I plan to buy big else will be another small parcel that I buy regularly as part of my DCA (Dollar cost averaging).

    Cheers,
    Oracle.

    I remember around this time last year one of my mates was encouraging me to buy Fortescue Metals- Thank god I didn’t. According to the SMH the ASX fell to its lowest level in 18 months.

    It's a bloodbath. It's painful seeing the portfolio going south however it will become a buying opportunity.

    I wouldn't be throwing words like 'bloodbath' around just yet.

    @pinkboy , really, why?
    The ASX is down how much from it's 25th Mar high of 5973? And the immediate trend is downwards.

    That completely depends on your plan, strategy and timeframe.

    If you don't have a defined strategy for entry and exit, you're asking for trouble in my opinion.

    Go to October 2008 where 1000pts were lost in days......not months. There are more instances of extreme drops than today.

    Reserve 'bloodbath' for real days of truth.

    exited MPL at 224.5cps and dumped the proceeds into VAS at 6412cps on close. One less position to monitor :) MLT well above NTA, has lagged the market and will possibly provide source of funds for cheaper stuff in coming days/weeks.

    Yeah I sold TRS last week after holding on for a while and finally eeked out a small profit. Was nice to use those funds to buy in today :)
