Reading some of those comments makes me sick, in particular the one where a poster contributed ‘go for it rba, cut those rates, better to put the money in the hands of young mortgage holders then greedy self funded retirees’.
I’m sorry if my opinion insults but pull your head in. I’m sick of the class division, I’m sick of the generation division.
By cutting rates and easing lending your further inflating house prices hence bigger mortgages, we are going around in circles here.
The attack on self funded retirees makes me laugh, if someone is self funded chances are they worked extremely hard, sacrificed a lot, saved and invested diligently and are now less of a strain on the public purse.
I’m sick of the poor young me mentality.

Disclosure: In my very early thirties so I’m not a ‘grumpy old self funded greedy retiree’ just having a stab at a millennial.

@Silverson wouldn't give the comment much thought, most self funded retirees don't hold huge lump sums in cash, they're invested elsewhere providing better returns.

So basically someone who had to forgo holidays, worked day and night, consumed cheapo food and made the effort to better their personal circumstances are to receive the same benefits and entitlements to lazy people who did nothing to help themselves?

Mainly just entitled. They immediately stop being lefties when you remind them of socialist duties.
