    Hi All,

I have done a lot of reading and calling around government sources like worksafe, asbestos vic, asbestos safety agency and none could give a straight answer. If anyone knows the answer from a source, or who I should be calling to ask please help.

In a tenanted property that has asbestos the general gist is if it is damaged, it needs to be removed. If in good condition it can stay.

What happens if the asbestos is outside in a garage, since it is not part of the house, does cracked boards need to be removed? Does the whole wall need to be removed if 3 panels out of around 30 are cracked.

To put this into perspective, if I lived at the house I would leave the broken panels as is and obviously not touch the broken panels. But if I rent it out just want to make sure I am doing the right thing and there isn't some rule I am breaking.
