thinking only as a property investor I want more immigration especially to Sydney and Regional NSW.

I want more overseas students to come to Sydney .
I want less apartments to be built.

As a property investor I will vote Greens , ironically if I was poor I would vote someone else.probsly Labor.

At the moment I have a 20yo student staying with me who is going to Uni and is quite politically active and we got talking about this last night.

He is a member of the Greens uni club and Socialist club etc and is very poor having to get a loan on his student fees and can’t find a full time part time job.

I don't think that slightly better off uni students would offset higher taxes for the wealthy, elimination of investor tax benefits, higher taxes for business, an anti development ageda, anti-growth, zero mining approvals, higher energy prices and blown out social welfare costs?

Well this young guy sharing with me is from Whyhalla in SA

He came to Sydney to go yo Uni , ironically this Easter weekend he is attending a 2 Advanced day course run by the Radical Left I guess, on how to protest .

Yep lol , he is doing a 2 day course , he done a beginners about 2 weekends ago where they learnt things on how to stand together and how to shout and even how to be a victim of a protest by laying down shouting your hurting me etc etc

He is excited about doing the Advanced protest course which has more psychological stuff in it ,staring , making noise , leading a crowd, causing others anxiety etc , imtimidation of law enforcement etc

I told him he is better off druving Uber and saving money instead of attending this rubbish

As a property investor and entrepreneur I will depend on nothing the government does because I’m smart enough and independent enough to drive my own future and not dictated by who’s in parliament

I don't think I'd be taking political advice from a professional protester.

As for who I'd vote for ... for the first time I honestly don't know. Been leaning independent a lot lately, as they seem to hold the power, and like Labor less that I like Liberal.

I must be getting old but what I really want to see is decisions made for the best over everyone in the community and for the future good, rather than the noisy few.

I'd like to no tax cuts an more spent on healthcare and education - I like to see less population growth as sustainability is a future issue, this is not anti-immigration more anti-dumbasses having 6 kids to 5 different fathers and not taking responsibility for raising them - I'd like to see plastic phased out, bring back string bags, paper bags, less packaging - I'd like to see more support for environmentally conscious farmers (not the soil rape-rs) - I'd like to see more support for green energy and innovation - I'd like to see our elderly taken care of with dignity ... there's a lot I'd like to see but no one in politics with any vision and strength to lead

He's paying for skills a toddler can do naturally? He could spend his time actually studying, be paying enough for it.

We called that normal twenty years ago, not poor and I really did struggle with recently split up parents. I even shared a room with my sister. From time to time I didn't have a proper mattress but actually I was incredibly happy most of that time. Was a little shocked to read that now the new UTAS Chancellor said students need their own room and the Uni plans to provide it. Then again, students should probably get free accommodation with escalating fees.

I can't imagine any employer falling over themselves for someone who is joined with the student socialist anything.

Same. If there are no actual good candidates again, I will vote for who I dislike least from a policy point of view. Naturally I have had the experience of voting for someone with a solid policy platform but who failed to deliver 95% of what was promised.

Some Enterpreuners are the other way and will get by on using the tools the govt of the day deliver eg increased student visa numbers, more immigration to certain areas etc.
Its no use me or any other investor voting say for a Party that is getting rid of neg gearing , doesnt matter how smart you are you shooting yaself in the foot !

I dont like voting Liberal and i despise the NSW Liberals , for Federal i will vote Labor probaly for State probaly Labor or Greens or pauline hanson for senate BUT it may change as i dont want neg gearing taken away from us !!

As a property investor and only thinking of as a property investor then voting.

I've been thinking about this. A 20 year old young guy that wants work could apply for the reserve army/ air force etc. They do get called on after the army if things get ugly though with every thing that goes with that. Be far more useful and pay better but any thing like this is likely to make it difficult to get in.

This is, in my opinion, an essence of investment. I believe it’s dumb to rely on government handouts (tax credits, insulation rebates) or policies as main drive of your investment. Immigration can change and move regardless of what the government does as well.

No , many of the left wing groups have courses or training in protests , its free and to go on to the Advanced course you need to be a good activist.

It is common for a person to go through greens during uni times then Labor during early working period and then eventually Liberals as they get wealthier.

He's far more likely to get laid by that two day course than two days driving drunks around.
