didnt know where to write this... So are you loyal to one Bank only ?
Im going through a life change at the moment so want to get out of the Commonwealth to ANZ

Im sick of seeing the yellow walls and now will see the blue walls .

Now when i went to ANZ Bank this week their service was much better than Commbank
You actually sit down to speak to someone.

Well he told me they provide everything .. Insurance, banking, loans etc

Im thinking now i have shares in ANZ then why not change ober .

With all that do you think they take into consideration your custom when deciding whether to loan to you ?

I am a customer of both. CBA certainly wins hands down on the internet banking/app front.

I am loyal to one bank..MEBank.

Sorry for the typo,i am loyal to the bank that helps me progress with my investment journey.

I was with CBA for 20yrs but recently changed over to ANZ due to refinance etc.

Banks are like politicians, they look different but smell the same.

Loyal at the moment to CBA... but it isn't like I have a choice given that I am casually employed.

Branch coverage is important to me - so I do all my banking with one bank. Obviously loans are all over the place.

Is your Bank loyal to you?

Or do they work on enticing new customers rather than retaining existing customers?

How are your ANZ shares going? No doubt as poorly as mine. Dividends are nice though. Do you reinvest your dividends?

^This. I've chopped and changed in the past, but have been with the CBA now for a long time for all my primary banking. I do a lot of banking online so their other services would have to really suck for me to move away from Netbank.

Plus my local branch know me, and service there is good so I have no reason to leave.

LOL, I feel like this is a troll post.

Anyway, no loyalty here. I trained myself not to as loan portability was crucial to my growth.
I don't go to a local branch if I don't have to as well. Most things can be done over the phone or online these days so I won't have the chance to see "familiar faces" down at the branch.

Troll post? Darlinghurstboy? Surely not! :D

I have banked personally with ANZ for credit card and transaction for about 18 years, but my home loans are with whoever will give me money

Banks have no loyalty to customers at all. It is all about getting new ones in and hoping the existing ones are too complacent to move on to a better deal.

    Same applies to insurance companies.

I've got dealings with the four majors. Each has a particular strength or reason to continue. Though I am going to review shortly.

ANZ and CBA are currently two of the worst lenders to be loyal too. How they treat existing customers verses new customers is poles apart. No bank is especially loyal to their existing customers, but these two right now are exceptionally bad.

In my initial training with the CBA, we were told to set clients up with 3 products such as a home loan, credit card and savings account (they're all conviniently on the same application form). Do this and they'll likely be customers for life no matter how badly they're treated - the banks words.

The banks do not deserve your loyalty and you're a sucker if you give it to them.

Oh well I'm a sucker then. For loans, I'm happy to go with whoever (except AMP!) but for personal banking CBA has me unless someone else develops better internet banking than theirs.

Loyalty ? Are you kidding me? I'm from the Druitt. Fidelity is not a part of my vocabulary.

I don't mind CBA Internet banking and phone app, I prefer NAB Internet banking but that might be because it's the one I'm most familiar with.
Westpac Internet banking is the worst, really painful paying a bill or a funds transfer to a new payee.
I'm definitely not loyal, why would anyone be because new customers always get better deals.
Local branch managers and bankers come and go too often as well.
