A bit different as a transient/tourist vs forking out a mill or more and living/breathing it every day.

Honestly you can go from your air conditioned house to your air conditioned car to your air conditioned office if you want. But if you live in the bay you get sea breezes. I never use air con.

Let's face it, there will always be City dwellers who enjoy having the convenience of cafes, restaurants, theatre, employment opportunities, well equipped hospitals and good quality schools.
Others, prefer the tree change with smaller communities, rolling hillsides, abundant land, animals (livestock & pets). Many enjoy the coastal lifestyle with the beach backdrop and ocean interests. Some are even lucky enough to reside on large properties (acreage) within reasonably close proximity to the waterfront. This is what makes us individuals; having different perspectives.

Reminds me of the song by John Butler " Life's not about what's better than".

What this pandemic has highlighted, is just how lucky we are to reside here in Australia!:);)

Apparently Travel Agents are a tad busy with people from NSW and VIC booking holidays in QLD since the announcement that the border will be open to all of NSW and VIC from December 1st?

This reminded me Emirates when once I was out. A bus delivered us to our plane and we all went out to go to that bus. I still remember how hot that air was.

So are you seeing the potential beginnings of an exodus from Brissy? Seems like there are so many better options nearby.

I can guarantee you that Agnes Water/1770 have been absolutely inundated with tourists since the onset of COVID; international borders are closed...so people from Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast and regional NSW have been holidaying en mass in Agnes Water/1770 for the previous six months.

So strange as it may seem...COVID has actually been a major blessing...not a curse...for Agnes Water/1770.

Many businesses in the area have been advertising for new staff, for example...and the RE market has also experienced its biggest surge since 2007 as well.

    Air bnb?

No idea...not my cup of investment tea.

''With the Queensland border set to open to Victorians from December 1 after having been closed for months, online property search data suggests many more are planning their move.

“Searches from Victoria into Queensland are generally quite stable, amounting to around one million per month,” Ms Conisbee said.

“Since the start of April, there has been a sharp acceleration. By October, searches had increased by more than 130 per cent to well over two million per month.

“The rest of Australia is also fairly interested in Queensland, but the increase in interest has been half that of Victoria’s.”

The hard lockdown in Melbourne has obviously left a sour taste in people's mouth.

We bought in Buderim. Nice property that needs some love with huge potential with spectacular ocean views.
