    Sad to hear this!

I hate it when the-powers-that-be do this **** at Christmas - always seems very "scrooge" to me.

As a n00b I was just getting into API and looking forward to a subscription for Christmas!

Hope you guys pop up somewhere else bigger, better, stronger.

Very sad news guys -Our hearts go out to all the employees and owners !My favourite mag and i have subscribed for many many years!

I thought that they got most of their stories for nothing(no charge due to people being excited to be famous in the magazine?)!Or am i wrong?
Plus all the adds from property companies?!!
Is it possible the business was running too high overheads?

So sorry to hear Kieran. I had subscribed for many years and really enjoyed reading it over breakfast on weekends. Also very happy to have appeared in the investor profile a few months back. Wishing you and all the team the very best for the future.

The website and its calculators and back article cat would be a nice add to PC. The value of their database even more. Advertisers + subscribers worth a lot more for online than a printed issue. I doubt they can "sell" it other than as a going concern and likely contenders are Domain etc. Its worth what you offer. Make them a offer. Its worth Nil to a former publisher.

A journalist friend at API is now out of work, just bought a doozy of a PPOR so hopefully OK.

Just back from a conference where many mining town colleagues are also shedding staff.

    Start a blog daisy?

Holy cow - didn't see this coming, API in my opinion is the best property publication out there (I'm a subscriber).

    I can't believe this - devastated..

No one saw it coming, the mag was delivered with a gift subscription suggestion......yeah, thanks a lot if you get that for Christmas :)

    It was obviously kept quiet.

    It is a real shame.

This is an interesting report by John Oliver on the importance of print media:

Wow. Very sad. I was literally reading the latest mag just before logging on - it arrived today.

Hope you and your families get what you need to bridge to the next job.

I am assuming the company is liquid enough to pay out some redundancies.

    This is terrible news.

As a reader for the last couple of years I really like the change Kieran and the team has made lately and finding the content interesting and informative. It's really a shame to see it go...

Thank you Kieran and the API team for all your efforts to date and good luck with all of your future endeavours!

it's a shock news to me as well. subscribed for 3+ years now and basically read every articles to get me educated a bit more... use the digital database a lot to get reference for the suburbs I am interested.
all the best for the employees...

Online version was so so terribly painful to use/read.

If they couldn't get the digital version right, the paper version didn't stand a chance given how other printed press has gone in the past 5-7 years..
