    Hi Brain Trusts
    What are your thoughts on buying an apartment (2,2,1) within 5K's of CBD to be initially used as PPR and later using it as an IP?

    We lived in apartment in Kangaroo Point for many years - great suburb close to CBD by ferry, walk to the Gabba, Southbank, Fortitude Valley, easy access to Freeway. Surprisingly peaceful too.

    And now is a good time to check which bits flood.

    The main question is
    a. Is it a good time to buy apartment within 5Km of CBD? with a budget of $540K
    b. Or better to buy a house close to CBD? with budget of $750K?
    c. Which option will have better growth?

    Units tend to not grow much.
    750k (house) also doesn't buy anything near the cbd
