For those concerned about buying well located units but concerned about non-residents taking up all of the parking (especially in larger apartment blocks) - solution

Here's a case of BC working with council.

I'll remember that place, 3 hrs free parking will do me! But I'll park in the visitors spots still

I've head that you can apply to council for a residential parking permit for your tenant for on-street parking but that new properties such as multi-unit residentials may not be eligible for a residential permit. Has anyone applied and been denied because of this?
