Agree. She should've just replaced the roof and saved everyone a lot of hassle. Probably would've increased value a lot more. (I strongly dislike half-arsed jobs, waste of money).
Also, I didn't even think the place needed painting - some things shouldn't be rushed.

Yeah the young couple seriously need to learn some negotiation skills.. they were the highest bidder, so they should have been on the front foot.. raised their offer by $30k way too easily..
But it was a very good reno, and 4 bedroom? so they were happy :)

Thought it was a bit cheeky of the sellers to lift the price they would accept when they were already over their expectations. Was hoping the buyers would say "nah, don't worry about it then!" :)

The young couple from the coast were on again this week, and I notice they are a big fan of painting the laminate kitchen tops for each project. As a tactic for flipping relatively affordable properties I understand the bang for buck factor. But have any of you guys done this for your B&H investments, or would you instead spend a bit more for something like ceasarstone to attract a better tenant and hopefully command better rent ?

Anyone still watching this? I'm a bit behind, just watched the episode with newbie couple on NSW central coast. They did alright! $70k

Bit surprised they didn't just knock the whole garage down and put up a kit though, after asbestos and termites. Guess it must have been cheaper to save it?

Hmm. You're right - last one uploaded was 31 May. I haven't seen that last one yet. Did they mention anything about it finishing?
