Used to be a Teaching Golf Pro ( almost 30 years Teaching in the industry) played Professionally for a large number of those years - but was mostly a dud. Ran 2 Pro Shops 9 years and 3 years respectively, and worked as a Teaching Pro at a few others over the years.

Had 6 years off in the later stages - 3 years in an ICU as a Nurses Aide, and 3 years straight after this in the USA as Mr.Mom.

Now; own a Tyre and Mechanical Workshop business. Have done for 6.5 years.

Have 4 kids - 3 are humans and one is a cat.

    For the past 10 years:
    • Forklift Driver
    • Store man - Pick/Pack orders, unload shipping containers, warehouse management and maintenance
    • Delivery Driver - product installation & assembly
    • Logistics officer
    • Quality control inspector
    • Stock control officer
    • Product design and development specialist
    • Technical department for any product issues
    • Product testing department
    • Marketing and online sales
    • In store sales, phone sales/enquiries and general customer service
    • Website development and maintenance
    • Business systems developer
    • Director of 9 staff
That covers most of my job as a business owner, starting from scratch and all self taught.
The best thing about my job is that I've never been bored as there are so many areas to cover.
Also developed 13 townhouses in Sydney and Brisbane which we hold, but this is easy compared to running a business.

I doubt you will find any correlation between work and investing. For example, I am a project manager now but was a computer programmer when I started investing. My investment partner was a window cleaner and is now a web designer/web admin type person.

Clerical worker. I’m trying to get into policy writing, but currently I’m stuck at Clerical/Admin level because I don’t have the experience, which is a catch 22 situation.

I reckon income levels, which is related to your job/profession would affect to property investing results.
No doubt low income earners can build substantial portfolios, but high income earners can build empires.
If it was analysed, I'd guess there is a correlation based on income level.

"A what?" is the response I get from 99% of people, so I just tell everyone that I consult to financial planning firms.
