I for one have at least one property that i had plans to sell around 2020/21, but given the current market i am withholding for the time being.

Keen to know how many others are in a similar boat

I have sold and a couple more sales to go. Putting most of the capital from sales into commercial ventures, most recent a shopping centre. 9% yeild, 7 year term, good CG upside.

Also bought a gut and reno luxury apartment to do up.

Am waiting till early Spring now
    Market will ease/stagnate over winter
Should be a good uplift to be had as the weather gets warmer :D
Will base next sale on perceived valuation then ;)

I’m tempted to. Not sure… I either need to sell now or wait at least 5 years as I’m about to go non-resident and don’t want to sell as a non-resident (due to insane tax rates).

I'm NOT selling a single house. Going to ride the wave completely and even when it settles down I doubt we'll ever see prices below what we saw sub 2017 peak.

Been reading everywhere that this is the boom of all booms anyone has ever experienced. The conditions currently at play have never been so aligned and working together to support insane house prices.

Smiling every single article I read about how crazy Sydney and Brisbane is. :)

What might change is the early retirement plan. If it keeps going crazy like it is its going to move my retirement much much earlier.

I am selling a lemon. Good time, people don't do due diligence.

Seriously considering selling something I’d consider overvalued .. to chase a development opportunity elsewhere.

getting strong déjà vu with the current market and the 02-04 market, when houses in Kellyville were going for 750k, and then tanked to 450k..

now land in kellyville is going over 1m, without houses on the parcel!

you can still read up the chats on Somersoft...

    Considering selling.
The main reason is the changes to Vic tenancy rules.
Prices are currently good - so may be a time to sell and pay off the ones we plan to keep??? This is 5 years earlier than we had planned.
Alternatively where else can the profits be invested?
