    Hi all,

I'm a reporter with Domain at The Age. We have heard some investors around inner Melbourne are struggling to rent out apartments as a flood of new stock hits the market and buildings continue to be approved. Have you had to drop rents or slash the price of your property?

If you would like to share your concerns with The Age, get in touch at: kirsten.robb@fairfaxmedia.com.au

    Many thanks.

Not at all, Depreciator. Just trying to hear from as many people as possible.

    Thanks.

Domain, "doom and gloom" ? Don't be silly, Domain accounts for half of Fairfax Media's earnings. It's a cash cow and the punters must be kept as house horny as possible. :p

The angle will be something like.... interview a well groomed young couple who have been living with friends in a share house. Paint a story of how two years ago they got tired of attending opens with 20+ other young hopefuls who were all vying for the same property, it was horrible. Landlords were asking whatever prices they liked...

Now it's a renters market they can finally get a place of their own, they've not only scored an iPad and a weeks free rent but they're over the moon because this will somehow allow them to save a deposit quicker.

    Bam. All bases covered. ;)
