Anyone have experience with "contour" shades?

    I wrote about some very specific requirements I had here:

    Basically, they need to be horizontally oriented like venetian blinds due to the direction of the sunlight, but also very light because of how tall the windows are. Presently it takes a lot of strength to pull up a set of very wide wooden venetian blinds nearly 4 metres up.

    I went to Apollo blinds and found what seemed like the perfect solution, called "countor" shades:

    They are basically identical to venetian blinds except made 100% out of very thin fabric, so they are very lightweight.

    However my concern is they are too thin - how long do they last? Is durability a concern? Has anyone ever used these before?
