I hate couches! After years of sitting on different ones we finally found one we like and it's in a container in Sydney we sent over. No idea brands or details but good luck finding one! Shipping from perth to syd is much better than shopping around

You also need to keep an on their prices area to area. Eg In Gladstone you pay 10%+ more than hervey bay

I don't like our couch, it's a bit low for my height. It has been lab tested though, and has a seal of approval.

I got a Demir leather couch.

Cost me $3900 (Mother in law) argued it down from $7000 or something ridiculous.
The leather is awesome, no sagging - and its 9 years old now.
Over the last 2 years, its copped abuse from my daughter who draws on it, spills stuff on it. Still looks kind of new :)

I felt kind of stupid paying that much money for a couch back then, but its been worth it. My mum bought a cheaper leather couch around $1,000 - that never felt comfy, the leather is now cracked, and its design was just terrible.

I think it was 4,500. Can't quite remember. Did have to wait some time for it to be made and shipped though.

We particularly liked this because the lounge reclines too. They do a larger lounge but that has a middle part that doesn't recline.

I love King furniture and their metal frame :) They're bloody expensive tho, so my plan for next time is to get custom made sofa back in Indonesia or Thailand and ship it here :p

Speaking of lounges, I bought a lovely armchair for my mother in law.

But my wife wouldn't let me plug it in.

I bought a Lazy Boy suite 10 years ago.
It gets a full treatment once a year, still looks great, leather is fine, though some of the stitching is showing wear.
I have been known to fall asleep in the "grandpa recliner" often
Lately i find it great rocking this one to sleep after a feed:D

Picking a couch is hard work! So much to consider. We went back and forth so much. It's tough finding something that looks okay and is comfortable. Generally we found the best looking couches are so bloody awkward. And the worst looking couches are like being wrapped in a comfortable cloud.

We ended up going for these 2 today from Nick Scali on sale. 20171228_124215.jpg 20171229_141908.jpg

We bought this one a year ago from HN for $2200. Material is like a buffalo suede. Very comfy and pet hair friendly. We love it!

We've got two of these face to face in our living room and another two we bought second hand (not bright orange :p) in a different room for watching TV. I think we bought these when they were on sale.

What we love about these is that I'm 156cm tall and hubby is 182 tall so finding something comfortable for us both has been tricky. We've had (I reckon) at least ten different couches over the years and moved them on for various reasons (style change, comfort, size) and these are the ones we've stuck with.

We can each adjust the height of the head rest and arm rest to suit ourselves, whether we are wanting to slouch down or sit up. And it is very comfy to lie on too. We love the versatility of this style.
