OK I don't expect to get many replies, or any really, but if anyone follows this series and wants to share their thoughts on who should win, etc I would love to hear it.

My favourite was 赵传 , but since he's out... I'm going for my next fave and ledged 张信哲.

Love this performance of his.

 

I like 张信哲too, but my fave is La La 徐佳莹 - 《不痛》&《我好想你》 are both good.
I guess the winner could possibly go to Co Co 李玟 in the end.

 

I like 徐佳莹. I think she will win. I loved her album a few years ago 尋人啟事.

 

why are the audience so emo? Is this like a X factor or The Voice?

Different culture mate. But especially for this performance as he was recovering from illness and it was affecting his voice.

Its more a singing completion of singing stars competing against each other.

 

Yeah I was thinking that too.. but personally I don't like how she's become to western styles.. but I guess she's spent so much time in the US she practically an ABC now.


Really wanted 赵传 to win though...His voice is legendary.

 

Don't understand a word he's saying but I feel it and quite like this song..what's the name of the track in english and the singer's name? I can't read chinese sadly.

huh? I'm not following. So are these singers actually famous or what? I've been watching chinese movies in cantonese but no subtitles really made it difficult to understand when they use slangs.

The song is called 信仰. Means Faith. Singers name is 张信哲, Zhang Xin Zhe.

 

Yes they are famous singers mate.

 

I wish Guang Liang was in it... I love his clips too. Not really related to the show but this in a kinda older clip of his, really sad story. The English subtitles don't really convey the feeling of the song in Chinese but oh well.

Thanks. Stripped the song off youtube - on my ph now and been listening to it a few times this morning. I have very diverse tastes in music. One thing I find missing in a lot of today's Western/English contemporary pop music is the ability to evoke emotion. Asian and Latin music does it better.....despite the rampant cheesiness.
