I painted the letter box. You can't see the bird droppings now.

I put up the ceiling and sheeted two and half walls of the bathroom in our PPOR, doesn't seem like a lot for a weekends work but old hardwood frame houses suck, had to cut more than 12mm out of some and pack others by up to 8mm to get the walls anywhere near straight, that and the bathroom's next to our 10 month old's bedroom, no noise at sleep time makes for pretty slow going.

    Of the fluff?
The whole bathroom is a beige horror, it was the same color as the sink before. Going to get a new top through granite transformations, new Basin and tap ware and will resurface the spa and shower tiles. Will clad the whole wall with the timber panel you can see propped up and a new black framed mirror.
Should be a bit nicer once it's done :)

Moving, moving, moving and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.....
Going to have a floor sander come in on Thursday this week for the old home so we were busy emptying rooms. Had 4 great big Ikea Pax wardrobes in a room (and the taller than normal version at that) so they had to be dismantled to be removed, they were too tall to even tip over, they'd hit the ceiling.

Great that the new home has high ceilings....

It looks like the partner will unfortunately treat a proper bedroom as a junk room in the house, i'm really not sure what I can do about that....:(

Hubby started digging up the old water pipe into the house that the kids are sitting because he wants to improve their water pressure. It's not our house! Someone slap him.

Two days later we started planning Mum's kitchen reno instead. Still not our house but at least I wont have to pay for it. Managed to go four days without entering Bunnings or Masters - Awesome

Yours only wants one small bedroom? That's great. Mine has a rumpus room that is one half of the total area. I reckon the house would have gotten a far higher valuation if the downstairs rooms were set up like a granny flat instead of something like the backyard workshop in this Sunday's Flip or Flop.

Poor thing! It happens. My question, will you do something with that valuation? Would you set it up as a Granny flat?
I think a shed or garage is better use of this kinda stuff...

It's one row of bricks too low to be a legal height. Mark would never allow his cave to be taken over by girlie stuff like a lounge suite and a TV, a bed or a bathroom.

Now that the kids have moved out, we can rent out the PPOR and move all his stuff into a fixer-upper. He will still have all his precious possessions and I can get on with my life and maybe make some income for a change, even if I get to live on a construction site.

Yes I think so. I need to find a fluff-free roller.

I light sand should get it back to paint and fluff free.... Need to wash the rollers before using, I got caught out rushing the floors  I didn't sand I just left it and they wore out! :D

Might be worth buying it new. They claim to be lint free - from Bunnings. Can get a special one for cupboards etc.

I'll have a look - it was a new roller, I don't bother trying to clean rollers that have oil based paint on them...but it was a cheapy.
