    Hi,

    Like the Bunnings ad, anyone doing any reno work this long weekend? I decided this long weekend not to engage in any reno or cosmetic maintenance work this time around. I think I needed to put my feet up and watch some long overdue DVD series (Walking Dead) and also some light reading for uni. I also believe that I still needed some time out from the last year's major reno.

    Hat's off to the people that are doing anything major over this long weekend. It's such a great weather to enjoy life I think.....

    Nope, got nothing vacant to renovate. Most IP's are done now anyway.

    I am. Seems never-ending, especially as I'm going over work I've already done. Never use fabric softener on walls - it might get old paint off but you'll ever get the new paint to stick. :rolleyes: I hope that this time next year I'll be putting my feet up after a nice long walk with the dogs.

    Roofing, guttering, cladding, flooring, painting, bathroom, fencing, kitchen, lighting, doors and handles, tiling, hot water system and etc. Majority was done by tradies but some of it was completed with my folks and l.

    @WattleIdo i relate ...
    7th week into an interstate Reno that would've taken 4 weeks (and half the price) if it was local . Didn't help some *******s ripped out my water meter :mad: Really need to get it done by next weekend so I can start on a smaller local Reno when those tenants move out then ...
    Looking forward to having a weekend of no Reno work or worrying about Reno work ....:confused:

    I honestly think I make things lot more time conuming than they need to be. Even 7 weeks sounds not bad at all.

    I think it's going to have to be ppor at the rate I'm going. Starting to like the place though.
    They can definitely wait!

    I've painted half of the picket fence out the front of my granny flat, my offsider has installed a gate made from a vintage cast iron cot end, looks terrific, God the fence is tedious.
