Well now Uber is legitimate as well in NSW so you can throw that out the window.

Again, overturning an archaic and ridiculous act that enforces a monopoly and punishes the end users is a great decision. If taxi drivers will now leave their existing jobs to work for Uber it just reinforces that Uber should be allowed in the market and that they're providing a better product for both the user and the provider, that's a win-win. If there is no point for them to leave their current jobs then they've got nothing to complain about anyway do they...

I have considered becoming a driver although I don't have a 4 door car...I own a ute, and from what I've read this type of vehicle isn't an option at this point due to only having one available seat.

I might contact them now that it has been legalised in NSW. I think I might start off a new category of Uber called Uber Ute  I think it would be a great option for people who buy large items at shops and need to get them home.

Uber might revolutionise the courier industry as well.

You can get an Uber black for the price of a regular cab, it’s a no-brainer. Best car I got so far was a brand new E350 merc, was super nice.

UberUte may well happen. In other countries there are more versions, ie in Japan there is Ubercar, Ubervan (not a van per se but a 7 seater car) and UberBlack.
