Any recommendation for builder to patio and balcony or deck for Brisbane?

    If the deck is to replace the pavers, it’s going to be a very low deck.

    Make sure you get someone who knows about the importance of air flow to the longevity of a deck if you are going to build it in natural wood.

    Beaters or joists placed directly on the ground are more prone to rotting and decrease air flow. Lack of air flow can cause more cupping in boards as well as leading to increased chance of rotting.

    That looks like a Stratco or similar set up. Our son had a carport similar to this quoted recently but has decided to go with timber and has had a couple of quotes from builders.

    So you either need a builder (try HiPages if you don't have a local builder) or one of the "patio" people like Stratco.
