Did you forget to post the link or paste? I don't see it.

Well it seems like there are people in this forum that are young and purchase two properties per year, so anything is possible.

It might just be me, but I can't see how a 28yo upper middle class woman working in customer service with a cheap townhouse in Logan is at all news worthy?

I think it's showing a mindset switch in her, and that's positive... a move away from consumerism.

Wish I could move in with mummy and daddy, would sure help.......(not having a go about that, half her luck)

Ask them to do a follow up in 5 years, wonder how many people (tenants) she will have hit over the head with her expensive handbags when trying to get money from them, will be a good lesson in conflict resolution I reckon possibly :)

One thing that bothers me a bit on the story, and here, is all these young people allergic to work & thinking property will have the money pouring in and a lazy lifestyle, I think that is all these stories do really (help create that mind & annoy FHB), and keep the advertisers etc paying the bills.

Good looking girl I guess but that's subjective. I guess everyone has to start somewhere but talk is cheap. Two properties per year is easily said than done.

Both of my kids are a couple of years older than this person. Both have two properties, total asset value $1.2M to $1.4M.

Neither of them live with us (we're Brisbane; they're Melbourne), we haven't help them financially (although both have benefited from our knowledge and experience), both (and their partners) have full time jobs plus run part time businesses outside work, ...

And you won't read about them in a newspaper or magazine because they both think this is normal. Why?

Because they saw their parents do it. It is what people do.

We like it that way. We are expecting our grandchildren to be brought up the same way.

Good on her. Once the fishing for a sugar daddy article pays off she'll be set. ;)

I think all those glam photos might be the clue!

Notice how seldom (never) unattractive people feature in these stories!

Some people prefer to keep a low profile. I know for a fact that my mentor would smoke most feature articles in the property magazines because his numbers and acquistions were all bought in the low end of the market but he prefers to keep a low profile and I recall that one day he placed an offer for a property but the real estate agent wouldn't accept his offer because he thought he was a bum off the street.

Maybe it is for educational purposes for other investors or for the newbies but some people are glory seekers and want "There's a good boy or girl" pat on the back.

They do feature ugly looking people as well.

Personal Investor magazine once did a story on me.

You said unattractive people seldom feature.

I don't qualify as a woman, but I do qualify as a people.

    "Hitting them over the head".
Are you implying Logan is a bad place to invest?

Does it matter what I am implying ? are you sensitive to such things and feel a need to protect where I assume you may invest ?

I have done some time looking around at units between GC and Bris, I can't honestly say that units in some areas are attractive at all. But others can do as they wish.

But more to the point, the tenants are not going to be like her drinking buddies or Gucci laden snob friends :) Should wake her up further, for the good.

    I really dont get it.
We have posts about smashed avacado and everyone is up in arms saying this generation can do it if they want to...
Yet when an article is written (regardless of how poorly) about a youngster doing it - everyone is up in arms saying "its easy for them".
    What gives?

I dont really give a hoot 'how' they are doing it - just as long as they are doing it. In each of the recent articles the individuals has been using all the resources available to them to get ahead. Isnt that what we all did in one way or another? Sure... we dont all have access to the same resources but surely they deserve a pat on the back for doing something rather than nothing.

    I say good on her.

Who said that is easy for them ? Going from someone who wastes everything to landlord in a short space would be shocking to the system.

I think the "what gives" is a dislike/disdain for all these stories in the general media which only seem to be to fan flames one way or another & or sell ad space. Often people seem to be unaware how they are being used, for what purpose ? bit of attention.

What are these stories, which all conflict, say to you ?
