A tip from an older hand. Create another meetup for mid next month and everybody will be happy. :)

A friendly bit of advice to anyone going to this evening's meetup - avoid driving anywhere around the Gabba due to the QCup AFL match going on today.

Our tables are booked in the name Property. How original ! I am running late, so make yourselves comfortable. If the staff mixed up the name, try mine. Helen

I enjoyed my first meeting, but have no hearing in one ear after an ear infection (I can hear mozzies style white noise though ... tinnitus???) so couldn't hear much right now. Happy to join in again next time.

Hope everyone has a good time. Mates own the Bent Elbow across the road from the Stones Corner Pub. We have had meetups there too. I won't make this one as I have a family dinner across the road.

Hope your tinnitus has disappeared. If it sticks around, you can get sound therapy to try cure it

I have heard colloidal minerals helps as well. Am trying this sound therapy thing atm which is essentially an MP3 loaded with music designed to retrain your brain. Thought it was a load of rubbish, but surprisingly, is working quite well.

Would be keen to get a link if you are happy to share. I'm hoping my hearing will return to normal when the swelling subsides (inside my ear canal apparently is still swollen). It is now blocked with drops and I have to let it clear. Meanwhile all I can hear is mozzies (white noise). But my youngest had sudden onset hearing problems and now has tinnitus. I'd love to have him try something that is working for someone. He listens to low level music to sleep by but a retrain the brain type of therapy sounds promising.

How do you administer it, drops in the ear or orally?

    Sure thing Wylie, its
    Sound Therapy International

I've only been on it a few weeks and am making small progress. Had an ear infection years ago, that couple with flying (my ears wouldn't pop) brought on tinnitus. Additionally the program is meant to help with your brain performance and stress levels. Have been playing it while I write another book and find my concentration and performance is enhanced. You can still hear people, talk on the phone and drive etc

The down side of the program is you need to listen to it for 3+ hours a day for 3 months and then go onto a maintenance program. It is worth it though, a few weeks in I can feel changes happening inside my ear especially while I play the program.

    Hope you get better soon!

Colloidal minerals - take orally - in a smoothie because it takes YUCK!
