When are you Mexicans coming up again? Wanna meet up again in the next few weeks?
Please suggest dates. I vote for a northern venue this time, but I'm biased ;)

I'll counter with a central venue for those dedicated souls who will trek up from the Gold Coast ;)

A Saturday afternoon/evening might work.. lots of people will be out shopping in Bris anyway.

Open to suggestions, I'll throw in a few based on what's been mentioned above:
    - XXXX Brewery Alehouse in Milton
    - Somewhere around the Brisbane Powerhouse at New Farm?

Saturday evening at a suburb inner north that can easily be accessed from the Gateway Bridge or from the CBD with easy parking. Steven, we all know you have been out and about north of Moorooka, as far north as the Moreton region.

There is a Grill'd at Everton Park in the new shopping centre and I hear the Thai in Trouts Rd is excellent. There are the Newmarket and Alderley Hotels along Samford Rd and an entire street of restaurants at Wilston. Saturday will be very noisy, I would prefer early in the week so we can hear each other speaking over the sound of clashing plates. For a different look at demographics, the Gaythorne RSL is a hoot. Late Saturday afternoon it will be quiet.

Powerhouse - impossible parking around New Farm but a sunset cruise on the ferry is delightful.

I would definitely be interested in coming along for my first meet-up. North Brisbane works for me. The Full Moon at Shorncliffe might be a good option? There's a bar and the food is pretty good pub food and it's close to the highway from both Coasts.

Just for the record you should try Thai Aspley next to Hogs Breathe - it's a small hole in the wall local but it is by far the best Thai I have had in Australia.

Very interesting! I'm yet to have anything close to a great green papaya salad or larb kai. The best we had was a river side restaurant in Chiang Mai. Was amaze balls.

The best Thai I have had in Oz is 'Modern Thai' on the corner of Creek/Logan at Mt Gravatt East.

Although, Spice Den at Casuarina was fantastic last night, not strictly Thai though.

Sorry to hijack the thread but if we are talking Thai then Thai On Hi at Glastone rd Highgate Hill is hard to beat for those close and not so close by.
I haven't been for a couple of years but it was always great.

My old man recently built a H&L there. I was dubious, but it has done very very well. And Coles opened up about 100m from his house in recent months.

To kick start dates, perhaps 14th or 15th of April? (Depending on whether people prefer a Thursday or Friday night?). I haven't been to a meet up so not clued on to preferences. I was just thinking a Friday night would make alcoholic beverages more acceptable haha. Although I don't judge if you deem a Thursday night as equally acceptable! Haha

    Hi Kate
We are very laid back here, big country town, etc. We do meetups whenever we feel like it. When will you be down this way?
