And as they say, he is the most diligent worker, and keeps going. Be grateful for what you have, there are others who don't have what you have.

And good on Win news for airing. We don't see enough of these stories.

    Love the tag line Rolf.

What an amazing young man, but I feel that I also need to say something about those around him as well as his achievements may not have been possible without their support. It's one thing to give an office job, somewhere unseen to a disabled person, but to put your trust in them driving those big trucks is something else altogether. There should be more 'good news' stories like this, showing that having a disability does not mean that you can't work, or follow your passion.

Great post @Rolf Latham. Often society is the one that holds people back and doesn’t give them a chance when they are different.

This gentleman is impressive. I say impressive, but is that the right word? These people just get on with it.

I bet he operates the machinery just as well if not better than his able-bodied counterparts.

I was born profoundly deaf in a time where doctors still believed that deaf people would never be able to speak. Thanks to an amazing set of parents who had great belief in me - I am now Australia's first ever qualified tennis coach with a cochlear implant and also have a law degree. I owe it all to them and that Max is a legend for not putting any disabling attitudes in his son's head as so many deadbeat parents do with their own able-bodied kids, let alone disabled ones!

Great stuff. It's great to hear about how people approach challenges and the power of mindset and getting on with it.

It reminds me of an article I read this morning. Not directly linked but along the same lines - When You Accept Responsibility - Miracles Happen - Rich Habits Institute

100% agree - it is so easy to sucked into this victim mindset and it robs you of your mental energy very fast!
