According the the latest corelogic report Darwin house prices rose by 5.9% last quarter.....

Apparently it outperformed Syd and Melb.....WTF?!

Seems a little weird considering all the indicators (pop growth, housing supply, economics, etc) are positively anaemic.

Is it likely that the boots on the ground assessment is wrong and the stats got it right?

    Haha this is laughable!!!
I think in the paper today they said prices were rising... and I use the term paper very loosely when referring to the nt news.

I think still lower to come but I ain't looking to buy up here money can be spent better elsewhere

The paper (not newspaper...let's just leave it as "paper") has been saying that the crash is over so buy now for the past 3 years....

That said...in the recent article they are only reporting (using that term loosely as well) on the corelogic stats. So if there is fault its in the stats somehow.
