    Hi

    Great news!!

After just 3 days on the market I already have an offer!! The interested buyer who went to the home open today will be having a second viewing tomorrow and will put an offer on my unit.

It’s staged and looks absolutely amazing!! I’ll post photos after it sells. I believe the $2000 spent was worth every penny.

Did they write up an offer or just said they would be making an offer? Did they indicate if the offer would be in your acceptable range?

I hope it goes well. I agree your unit looks amazing now that it's staged. They've zoned it nicely and it makes it look very functional

    Thanks everyone

    Looks awesome hey! @Westminster

No they haven’t written up the offer yet. That will happen in the morning. They didn’t indicate it would be in my acceptable range. But it’s looking promising.

The person lives nearby and happened to be walking past and saw the picture sign. She hadn’t seen it online. My agent mentioned that it’s very new to the market and that it was the first home open and the lady commented that she’s keen to put an offer on straight away before someone else views it and puts an offer on. So I think if she really likes it she might be willing to pay a bit more for it. I’ll play it by ear and see what happens.

    I’ll update tomorrow.

Thanks yes fingers and toes crossed it goes well and I get a decent offer!

They say the first persons offer is usually the best so I’ll keep that in mind.

    congratulations! I hope its decent

From personal experience, dont get your hopes up, just be positive, but dont overthink it or start planning how you're going to spend your money. just ignore the situation.

Dont count the offer too seriously until the ink has dried. Proceed with arranging with agent for the next open home asap eager to get a second bidder.

Especially as your unit is harder to finance due to it's size. Keep holding home opens

There's no ink, not even pencil. It's a rumour a friend of a friend heard at the pub.

    Thanks. :) Yep

Hate this waiting. I’m still waiting to hear back to see if they signed. I’m getting worried. But I’ll keep positive. I just hope I hear the news before I go to sleep tonight or it’ll be a restless night.

I guess hopefully the old saying no news is good news will apply here. I’m thinking if there was bad news she would have told me by now.

    Great news!

Deal has been done. They signed! I’m happy with the amount. :) Cash offer and no conditions. Not subject to finance, building or pest! Wooohooo. But I won’t share anything more until after settlement goes through. What a relief! I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Glad to hear the good news - so that is a big tick for spending money on staging ?
