After weeks of preparing my house [painting/patching/cleaning] for sale am now wondering 'why bother'. Went to 2 open houses in Lake Macquarie area yesterday, the first one at Lakelands we had to leave our shoes off before entering, am always interested in the kitchen and my first reaction was 'Oh my God' when I opened the oven and grill and another gasp when I saw the sink, rest of the house felt well, just dingy. The second was at Valentine where the owners had made no effort to clean the house and it was baaaad :( Neither of these homes were cheap.

I cant imagine buying IP's and having to face this multiple times, I am already thinking maybe I should stay where I am or perhaps I will have to develop a sense of humour. :D

It will make a difference - the attention to detail will get you extra $$.

You wouldn't be the only person with those thoughts while looking at the gross houses.

    Cheers
