I read on the paper that Altair Funds Manager has given money back to its investors cause he says the market is too hot, china is slowing, etc..

Is this solely to do with the property market or other asset classes as well?

I am working together with a financial advisor and we're about to start up an investment portfolio for me. I'm not sure which assets yet but I'm guessing it will be a mixed bag.. Some shares for dividends and other funds for capital growth etc..

But still, funds managers handing money back has me concerned because I'm about to invest soon..

Here is the article I'm worried about.. Is this article solely to do with the property market??
'I am absolutely certain we are in a bubble in this property market'

There was a thread on this earlier today. Turns out he's in the middle of being sued by his mother for allegedly running off with shares she owned and it's probably just him getting out on his terms rather than the investors all pulling their money themselves

If you are fearful of the sharemarket, you really need to go to one of Peter Thornhill's seminars. It will give you a mindset for investing in the sharemarket. Takes the fear out of it by providing some sensible perspective.

    Biz..

I was happier when I was broke to be honest.. I got a bit of an inheritance and I've been unhappy since. I'll be fine once I figure out best way to invest.. (i.e., shares v property or do nothing for now) :)

Hey Frank pal, I know dem feels. I too was happiest when I was a teenager with two bob to my name and partying every weekend. Getting old and being responsible sucks!

Investing won't make your happier. Just wait until you get your first rat bag tenant. Mwahahahahahaha
