Funnily enough this is the first seminar I went to which ignited my passion for property. The speaker did a great job of explaining everything.

3 years on and it's now very funny what I know now when I think back to that seminar.

    He was spruiking x coll.

He made it sound so simple just doing buy and hold, release equity every year because that's how quickly property gains value.

    Ofcourse the tax benefits.

I had a follow-up call with a BA and asked him if he invested and where, he actually told me his portfolio which was horrendous! He actually spruiked to me that he "timed" docklands.....If I was hiring a BA and they told me they purchsed in docklands I would run faster than us aim bolt.

It just highlights to me how easy people can be manipulated into property. In the right hands, it can be packaged so beautifully which is why we have so many "property investors" with no idea. I know myself if I had the cash I would have signed up.
