Hopefully not because like Newstead the old industrial strip won't be there for very long, not on the fringe of what is one of the most prestige suburbs in Brisbane (Ascot).

I'll be sad when that day comes because it's also one of my favourite spots for spotting supercars, it's where a lowly 70k S3 can get a wheel alignment alongside 300-500k cars :p

Battleax block. Nice and close to the rugby fields and Alan Border over. The area is changing, with quite a few developments planned, I beleive

Albion is mostly industrial, with the exception of the northern end of the suburb where it abuts Clayfield, Wooloowin and Windsor. Convenient spot, but pretty much every corner of the suburb is either close to industry, noisy roads or the rail corridor. Crosby Road does get a fair bit of traffic in the peak periods.

I believe there is a couple of brand new apartment blocks being built right next door or a couple of doors down from the property in the link.

I cant imagine the businesses being allowed to stay there too much longer. But we have been thinking that for the last 20 years.

Thanks guys and passed on the information to him. Too late to back out of it now but maybe he is hoping to sell it to a developer later on?

@jins13 just curious, what did your friend end up doing with it? Did he sell to a developer or rent it out? I thought parts of Albion had some potential - fairly close to city, train station nearby

Yeah, I reckon it's a good location, close to the train station, not far to the City.
Easy to get to the airport too, train or driving.

I swear the last time I looked at this it was asking 700 maybe 3-6 months ago

I'm gonna faint if someone paid 1.25

Battle axe I do not like.

Yeah, $1.25M would be way too much, unless there's some great potential for development.
But they would be a bit restricted with a battle axe block.

Sorry for the late reply. I think he is currently renting it out and holding it for the long term. He reckons that there is an opportunity for him to sell it at a big profit later on.
