Aircon/heating unit

    It's outside my scope of familiarity and the relationship may be entirely unconnected but does anyone have an idea on why a heating/aircon unit would have an empty conduit beside it on the ground (refer to photo)?

    This is on an apartment property I took a look at recently. It may be something, it may be nothing but I can't think why an unused conduit would be going into the building at floor level.

    Condensate drain from the FCU.

    Thanks. I've stood outside the operating aircon unit at my current residence to compare and didn't connect the dots. I feel a bit sheepish now.:oops:
