PS when our airconditioner was doing something similar the only way to reset it was to turn the house power off at the mains and then back on again.

Westinghouse GOR476SNG. Electric oven. Fan and grill work but oven won't heat.

Might pay to employ a lic sparky and have her-him check the board and test the system,or sometimes the motherboards inside the AC/units become a home for geeko and they chew the panel out..imho..

Could be the element, straight swap over hopefully.

Ring around with the model number etc you might be able to find a sparkly that does ovens and can also look at the air con. Otherwise you may need two sparklys.

Does anyone know what the 3 wavy lines on the air con means? That's the light that's flashing. It's not in the error code booklet.

Have you pulled the filter out and put back in. Or rest the remote
Some air cons shut down as a reminder to check and clean filters.

No photo but they look like the attached pic. Just.. wavy lines..

All I know is that it's fairly new. I called Samsung support and they just said it needs a technician.

I'm at work and can't get there until tomorrow night, so I'm trying to brainstorm as many options as possible so I can try everything.

Call an air con mob. They'll send an invoice before they send help

Splits are all computer controlled. The cards are rubbish. The card is inside the indoor unit behind the cover. (Don't touch it) Low gas, fan issues, blown circuit board, condensor issues, water, bacteria !! all will shut it down to limit damage. Service call by manufacturer would show the error code when the attach their device to it. Will indicate if its capable of a fix. May just need a regas if its dumped (moving the unit 1cm will do that) or parts etc. If its the compressor (oil leak outside inside unit ??) you may not see it. May be internal compressor issues. Samsung best to diagnose. (Remember ACs work on thermal variance..If they cant operate in a safe range they shut down.).

Otherwise you may need a new unit - Both sides of wall. The existing copper pipes can usually be kept. But likely may need to be vacuum sucked as gases may be different on a new unit and one could affect other. Unfortunately the min service call by Samsung would be a cost. Then source a replacement (5yr warranty?) at Bunnings and get a local installer in. (Bunnings have their numbers) Since electrics are in place it wont be huge cost unless poor installed first time. They can quote it almost sight unseen.

Benefit of Samsung techs is they see their units day in and day out and know the faults well and whats repairable. Non Samsung will struggle for parts etc These units are disposable !!

I have Samsung coming out to assess it today - under warranty apparently. The unit is 3 years old but sat in a box for a year so it was only installed 2 yrs ago.
