I am looking for a new house having recently sold.

I am suprised that around 25% of the enquiries I make through the realestate.com.au enquiry form do not get replies from the agents

Even follow up enquires are ignored.

These are just innocuous enquires asking for more details etc. so I am not sure why the agents would ignore them.

The properties are not showing as being under contract even when I look weeks later.

Yes it is staggering behavior. But most agents do not cope well with emails (75% of them as you've discovered). They are driven by the phone only. Or for face to face contact, turn up at an Open as @Trainee suggested.

Describing your enquires as “innocuous” leads me to believe you are not particularly interested in the property you are enquiring about, or that your queries are trivial.

Perhaps this comes across to the agent.

Do you follow up with a phone call? Anyone seriously interested would.
