    Yep hate anyone who has an agenda. Ie sales.

    Whether it be cars, houses

    The last time an agent said exactly theses words "oh its only $x difference, it's not much

    I reply " oh ok. It's not worth much to you, then you won't have a problem paying the difference for me"

    That usually shuts them up

    I wouldn't sweat it just yet, I remember purchasing in West Melbourne in the height of the Sydney boom and speaking with agents down there they thought the market was "hot" with houses going under offer in a touch over 30 days or so. I then explained how houses were going under offer before the first open home in Sydney. So in comparison I would probably say Sydney is not down, it has just normalized and it is not what people are used too from the last few years.
