i"m new at travelling. We are arriving in usa on xmas eve 24th late at night with a large group of us aaincluding kids and no food.

1 does anyone know what might be the safeest most reliable and cheapest transport option from airport to accomodation some 50 minutes away for 4 adults and 5 children

2 and how long we should leave from anticipated arrival time till we meet the transport including whatever happens after we arrive and have to find luggage etc eg if we arrive 9 pm at night what tie should we book the transport for to allow enough time to get off plane and get luggage and whatever else happens please

3 what are the transport modes in usa that we should look at that night or the next day xmas or in general in the weeks we are there pleas e
    taxis
    uber
competitors or uber waht are their names
we are a group of 4 adults and 5 children3 of them quite young i think we have bought some portable lightweight carseats that hopefully a re legal and useable

4 does anyone know supermarkets taht might be open or if they are definitely closed on night of 24 dec and on xmas 25 dec.

Your going for a wedding, right? There have to be some locals you can ask?

The craziness of just asking advice for usa, mo state, no city, no town.

Just use Taxi on arrival. Will be waiting at airport. Wont have any dramas with kids seats etc..not required. Use Uber from then on....kids seats may be an issue. Convenience stores will be open on Christmas eve and Christmas day. Grocery stores will be open on Christmas eve but most closed Christmas day.

    Good Luck.

The 4 adults and 5 children will want to go straight to a clean bathroom and then to bed when they get off the plane from Melbourne. No driving anywhere.

    What cities?

Doesn't matter what city I always train, airport bus etc to city center. Then walk, taxi or more public transport.

I always plan to arrive before mid afternoon even if tickets cost more.

Having just spent thousands on airfares. What is another hundred or two on a taxi ?
I always find a business card from hotel or pointing on a map useful even in US

When it's a large group, it may be that a taxi is quite economical as compared with public transport. It's worth checking out the alternatives well before arriving at a destination, and the TripAdvisor forums are a great place to research further.

No city or Accommodation details.... so very hard to help you.

Do you know that many hotel chains have courtesy buses from the Airport in major USA cities?

Do you know that some major USA cities have great Train connections from Airport?

Do you know that supermarket chain brands are different from east to west coast of USA?

Do you realize that your cryptic questioning won't really help you get the responses you seek?
