    Hi all,

Our plan for multi unit development is now at advertising stage with Monash council for 2 weeks or so..

What generally happened after that 2 weeks? Can the council still able to reject the permit even if there are no objections from the neighbour during the advertising period?

From experience, how long does it take from the advertising to a decision being made?

    Thank you.

It's different for each Council, and also highly dependant on the details of your application.

Your town planner should be able to give you some guidance as to the length of time for a decision.

There is normally also an IR (information request) that comes out, if they need any further information to make their decisions.

We've had DAs that have taken over 12 months start to finish, but that is for large complex ones.
