What are peoples' thoughts about advertising a property in the local paper? I'm thinking it may be an outdated form of marketing with little ROI. Am I wrong and should I fork out cash for the local paper?

Do you mean the "local rag" (ie suburban free paper) or the local city newspaper.

We don't even get the local rag and haven't for years. I think they can't get kids to deliver them like our kids used to.

And I'd not bother with the city newspaper either. I've not looked in a newspaper at properties for many years. Online is where I look, and I think most people are the same.

Outdated unless you are aiming at some very specific print only demographic.
