    I'll echo what Moych said. Check out ISPs.

    We were told for several years that ADSL2 wasn't available from our exchange. We found out eventually that it was only because our ISP didn't have a connection to our exchange. We changed providers and got ADSL2 immediately.

    Also check out if NBN is due in your area.

    There's also a few providers who still do cable internet and line of sight wireless.

    There's also the nbn sattelite service as well.

    Heaps.of ways to skin pusscat.

    Most of them without Telstra.
